First Robotics Competition is the largest competition that our team competes in every year. Team 5109, our team number in FRC, builds with 3,897 other teams including more than 97,000 students and 29,000 mentors from 34 countries. In a six-week build season, our members work together to design and assemble a robot weighing up to 125 pounds that can compete in that year's game. The game is composed of a set of tasks such as placing objects into containers, scaling terrain, and turning wheels. Although a standard set of parts is provided, a majority of the bot is student fabricated and coded. After the build period, our team competes in various regional and district competitions with the goal of reaching the World Championships, as we did in 2019.
